Herm Island Contour Map Paperweight
My wife and I have been visiting Herm for 20 years, pretty much every year. As well as being a beautiful place with no cars or TV, it has that friendly familiarity that means we relax as soon as we arrive. With many other visitors also regularly revisiting, we meet up with friends we have made there every year. To remind us of the wonderful times we have had (and hopefully will continue to have for many years), I commissioned Holly to make us a three-dimensional sculptural map of the island as a Christmas present for my wife.
The process went flawlessly by email. After sending Holly my idea for a table-top sculpture rather than a wall-hung one, there was a little back-and-forth about materials and size, a quote, a deposit, a final payment on seeing pictures of the finished piece, and the sculpture arrived in good time for Christmas!
